Rabie Ridge Drummies looking for members and sponsors

The Rabie Ridge drum majorettes club is actively seeking more young girls to join their ranks, while simultaneously looking for sponsors to help make these young girls' dreams a reality.

Rabie Ridge Drummies extended a warm invitation to all girls from grades 4–10, in the area and surrounding neighbourhoods, to join the vibrant drum majorettes team for the upcoming season.

This is an exciting opportunity for young girls to participate in a fun and dynamic sport while developing skills and confidence.

The first training session took place on January 25, and Sanet Thindisa, the founder and coach of Rabie Ridge Drummies, expressed her pleasure with the turnout for the initial practice.

Rabie Ridge Drummies invites local girls from grades 4–10 to join the club for the upcoming season.

“The first practice session was well-attended, and I am really encouraged by the enthusiasm shown by the participants,” said Thindisa. “However, I am hoping for an even larger team this year, particularly as the league competitions are set to commence on February 15.”

Since its establishment in 2021, the club has been dedicated to empowering young girls through the discipline of drum majorettes. It is officially registered with the Gauteng Majorette and Cheerleading Association, which adds to its credibility and provides a framework for competitive opportunities. The girls consistently showcase their impressive skills, qualifying for larger tournaments outside the province year after year.
