Nova Pioneer bestows its 2024 Grade 6 and 10 learners with IGCSE and Cambridge Checkpoints awards

The ceremonies were filled with excitement and pride as learners, teachers, and parents gathered to recognise the exceptional performances of the young Novaneers.

Nova Pioneer Midrand Schools have been buzzing with excitement and celebrations recently.

On January 31, Nova Pioneer Midrand Senior held a prestigious awards ceremony to recognise the impressive IGCSE achievements of the 2024 Grade 10 cohort.

Additionally, Nova Pioneer Midrand Primary celebrated its 2024 Cambridge Checkpoint results at a special awards ceremony for Grade 6 learners.

The evening for seniors was filled with pride as learners, teachers, and parents came together to honour the remarkable accomplishments of the learners. School leader Sizo Chalufu reflected on their success, quoting Robert Collier: ‘Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.’

He emphasised that these exceptional results highlighted the hard work and perseverance of the learners, supported by dedicated educators and the Nova Pioneer community.

The senior learners collectively achieved 13 As, 29 Bs, and 67 Cs, underscoring the school’s commitment to academic excellence. Notable top performers included Kgosi Kekana, Christian Muthiora, Thandolwethu Moyo, Musa Matoni, Nobuntu Magadlela, Tanaka Mutsengi, and Abdul Yiyawia.

“These results are just the beginning of even greater achievements. Our learners have proven that with determination, they can overcome any challenge,” added Chalufu.

The Cambridge Checkpoint ceremony on February 7 marked the culmination of months of hard work, where learners received their official assessment results in the core subjects of English, mathematics and science. The event was full of excitement as learners, teachers, and parents gathered to celebrate the outstanding performances.

This year’s results reaffirm Nova Pioneer’s commitment to academic excellence, showcasing significant progress across all subjects.

Nova Pioneer Primary leader Thokozane Mhlanga expressed immense pride, stating, “Our learners have demonstrated outstanding dedication and growth. These results reflect their hard work and the unwavering support of our passionate teachers and parents. We celebrate every student’s achievement and look forward to their continued success.”
