Gauteng Acting Provincial Commissioner Major General Fred Kekana joined senior police management and other law-enforcement agencies in Rabie Ridge on Thursday morning, September 10, as authorities stepped up efforts to tackle crime through Operation Shanela 2.

The operation was conducted at a roadblock at the corner of Modderfontein Road and Falcon Street, where law-enforcement officers carried out checks as part of efforts to strengthen policing and clamp down on criminal activity in the area.

The operation is aimed at stamping the authority of the state while supporting local police stations in their efforts to reduce crime and improve community safety.
