Ward 112 councillor Madeleine Hicklin shares a merry Christmas message for the community and writes:
They say time flies when you’re having fun and despite the many challenges we have faced during the year, I have loved being the councillor for Ward 112.
I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge the efforts of our Region A regional director Abigail Ndlovu and her awesome team; Nompumelelo Mthethwa and Jeff Mahlangu and their teams from Pikitup; City Power’s George Neervoort and William Digabane and their teams; and Joburg Water’s Ian Cooper, Akani Shibambu and Lindokuhle Chauke and their respective teams. We could not manage it without you.
Thank you to the Midrand police and Metro police working in conjunction with the Community Policing Forum and Sector Crime teams. Your vigilance in keeping us safe is always acknowledged.
I would like to take this opportunity of wishing you and your loved ones a blessed festive season. May you all be inspired to contribute positively to those around you and be blessed with good health and happiness, and may next year be a year in which we continue to build a brighter and more inclusive community in Midrand.
I hold my head up high secure in the knowledge that we have been able to affect and impact the lives of many in a positive way.
