Wakeboarding fun for all
MIDRAND - StokeCity Extreme Sports Park in Midrand will host Ticket2Ride on 2 November from 8am to 8pm.
Organisers said it will be the wakeboarding event of the year.
The day also promises to show off the talents of some of South Africa’s top and up-and-coming free-style motorcross riders at Alastair Sayer’s free-style motorcross compound. Sayer is a previous X-Game medalist.
Amped Distributors, the importers of eight global leading brands in watersports, are hosting Ticket2Ride to celebrate their 10-year milestone of importing wake gear to South Africa.
The event is their gift back to their loyal fans, supporters and customers.The community is welcomed to the event to watch the wakeboarding contest in a format that has never been done before.
LiquidForce global team riders Shawn Watson and Kevin Henshaw and Hyperlite global team rider, Jimmy La Riche will compete against nine of South Africa’s top riders in a two-hour competition.
The public will also have the chance to ride in the fun environment.
DJs, including Rob Forbes, Fix and Dirty Herz, will be blasting out the beats and the attendees will be able to rub shoulders with some of South Africa’s local celebs.The Miss and Mr Pretoria finalists will also be at the venue to host a bikini show.
