Stais reigns at SA equestrian world champs
KYALAMI - Alexa Stais of Beaulieu is the champion of the South African leg of the International Equestrian Federation World Jumping Challenge.

Stais won the class riding Magical Emblem.
This win tops a successful year for Stais, who has among her highlight wins this year, won the junior 1.3m event in the Gauteng Horse Society Championship in July, placed second in the 2013 Spec-Con Junior South African Derby in May, and placed second in the Nissan Junior SA Outdoor Grand Prix in April.
The other placed competitors in the World Jumping Challenge were Vanessa Lyon (riding Brandenburg Cutty Sark) placed second, Mariska Hogg (riding Alchemys Belmadesa) placed third, Rainer Korber (riding The Burgh’s Bel Ami) placed fourth, Nicola Griffin (riding Ucello) placed fifth, Lorette Knowles Taylor (riding Nissan Vission 21) placed sixth, Vincent Moemise (riding Nissan Pilot) placed seventh, Vasti Theron (riding Prime Performance Rouge De Feu) placed eighth, Shelly Ann Moore (riding Lamiro G.i.h) placed ninth, and Caitlin Methvin Rennie (riding Brandenburg Loriet) placed tenth.
