Midrand Cricket Club scores
MIDRAND - Gone are the days when cricket teams who came to Midrand were almost guaranteed to walk away victorious.

Cricket in Midrand has strengthened and the results are starting to reflect that. On 30 November, two Midrand Cricket Club sides put their opponents to the sword and solidified their claim for this season’s honours.
The first side made hay against Bedfordview Cricket Club, chasing down 172 runs in 31 overs. Mars Vickery was the top scorer with 53 not out. The SA8 side made it a perfect weekend when they beat Azaadville with a five-wicket victory. Teddy Makoanyane top scored with a quick-fire 42 but the honours of the day went to the club’s 16-year-old sensation, Nhlavu Rikhotso.
The club has been on a drive to promote young players to break through their ranks and Nhlavu is their first success story. The left arm seamer recorded his best performance of the season picking up four wickets for 17 runs.
The club holds its practice sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Summerhill School. New members are welcome.
