Striders put their best foot forward

The club’s chairman Tim Walwyn said, “Runners enjoyed an undulating and moderate route through the urban suburbs of Bedfordview, Edenvale and Senderwood. The race has been voted the second best marathon in South Africa and attracted 7 000 runners on 8 February.” He congratulated all club members who finished the race.

The men’s race was won by Jonas Makhele of Bidvest Athletic Club and the women’s race was won by Charne Bosman of Nedbank Running Club.
