The mascot was amazed at the fever pitch level of excitement generated by the Kyalami Prep School’s supporters for the national cricket team.

Zac is also part of the proteas campaign #proteafire which inspires fans to get behind the boys as they go in search of their first World Cup glory since their re-admission to international cricket in 1991.

The ICC Cricket World Cup commences in Australia on 14 February, and the Proteas’ first game will take place on Sunday 15 February when they play against Zimbabwe.

Do you think the #proteafire will inspire the boys Down Under to bring home the trophy? Comment below, and tell us what you think.
