GLEN AUSTIN - Diverse Sports, a sports company that works with schools in Midrand, is looking for a R35 000 sponsorship to send 22 boys on a cricket tour to Sri Lanka from the 2 to 12 October.

Director of Diverse Sports, Loshnee Iyer said, “We are appealing to the business community and residents to help us with money to send the boys on tour, four children pulled out due to financial reasons. We would have loved every one of them to go.”

The boys were selected for the tour from six cricket school teams which participated in a cricket tournament at Midrand High School organised by Diverse Sports. The schools involved were the hosts, Glen Austin High School, Reddam Waterfall, Summit College, Crawford College and Wendywood High School.

Crawford College Lonehill won the tournament. Adriaan Kotze of Crawford College was best batsman of the tournament, with Kyle Pillay of Midrand High School named bowler of the tournament. The player of the tournament was Richard Fasen of Crawford College.
