Debbie Dolphins Swimming School embraces current trends

NOORDWYK - Swimming coaches from Midrand-based Debbie Dolphins Swimming School recently attended a coaching conference with international flair in Boksburg to stay current with new swimming techniques from around the world.

The conference educated the swimming school’s coaches on how to teach competitive strokes and how to ensure long-term participant development, as well as how to build swimmers through progression techniques. It also touched on how to build up young children to become champion swimmers.

The coaches enjoyed interacting with Professor Steve Haufler, who boasts over 30 years of coaching experience. Haufler won 10 league championships and is the a head coach of Orinda Country Club and Orinda Aquatics Masters in the San Francisco Bay area in California.

Owner of Debbie Dolphins Swimming School, Estelle Barnard said, “We look forward to teaching these new techniques to our swimmers this year. As a swimming school, we stay current with new swimming techniques by going on different courses.”
