Tshuma Stingers host the Mazda Midrand Family Meet and Play event
MIDRAND – Tshuma Stingers defeated Kagiso Rugby Club 69-0 at the Mazda Midrand Family Meet and Play event.
Tshuma Stingers Rugby Club hosted the Mazda Midrand Family Meet and Play event at Summit College.
The event was attended by more than 250 people including 160 schoolchildren of Drake Koka, Sedi laka, Kaalfontein, Dr Mathole Motseka and Kyalami Independent primary schools.
The schoolchildren were taught rugby skills by players of Tshuma Stingers. The team remains unbeaten in the Golden Lions Senior Grand Challenge Competition.
Boyce Joko of the Gauteng Department of Sports and Recreation affirmed the department’s support of the club and thanked all the schools who participated and encouraged the children to perform well academically too.

As part of the event, Tshuma Stingers played against Kagiso Rugby Club and continued their unbeaten run with a 69–0 victory.
The CEO of Tsuma Stingers, Ndumiso Tshuma thanked the visitors and congratulated the players who made sure the day was a success from a great rugby development programme to the impressive win against Kagiso.
The Tshuma Stingers will host another Mazda Midrand Family Meet and Play event on 16 June.
