Golden Knights Soccer Academy needs long-term assistance from Midrand community

MIDRAND – Golden Knights Soccer Academy thanks Thobo Transport for its sponsorship.

Despite securing a short-term transport sponsorship, Golden Knights Soccer Academy is still looking for a long-term solution for its transport needs.

This follows after Midrand Reporter published an article in May urging local businesses to assist in taking the soccer boys to and from their games.

Thobo Transport, a business in Midrand, came forward and offered to transport the Golden Knights Soccer Academy U13 team to their game in Vosloorus on 10 June free of charge.

It was the second trip Thobo Transport had offered to Golden Knights Soccer Academy, however, the company has not made any commitment to transport them to future games.

“On behalf of Golden Knights we would like to thank Thobo Transport for its services. We hope that through the sponsorship we can arrange a long-term plan, if not, we hope to confirm a one-to-three year transportation solution with the help of the Midrand community,” said Aobakwe Seleka, coach and technical director at the academy.
