Midrand-based football team appeals for sponsorship from community

MIDRAND – Midrand United Football Club is requesting financial support.

Midrand United Football Club is a Midrand-based soccer team that was founded last year by Morgan Moodley who has had a passion for football since the age of seven.

The club operates from Halfway House Primary School with the main aim of developing soccer players of different ages and skill levels while offering an opportunity to enhance their skills, accomplish personal goals and importantly develop a love of the game.

“We are a non-profit organisation and depend on the support of our community,” said Moodley. “The club is committed to providing a pleasant and educational soccer experience for all who have interest in learning and growing in the game of soccer and promotes the development of character, integrity and the enjoyment which comes with learning and being part of a team.”

Furthermore, the club strives to offer the youth of Midrand the best soccer experience possible. The team has attained great achievements as their senior team secured fourth position in a league of 14 teams. However, the club is still in need of sponsorship to assist them to cover essential expenses such as soccer kits, soccer balls, equipment and travel expenses. They are appealing for sponsors or donations from the community to assist them in any possible way.

Details: Morgan Moodley 071 646 2130.
