Golf for a good cause

MIDRAND – Jessica Smith, director for fundraising operations said that all proceeds would go to the Botshabelo Babies Home to assist with medical expenses, nappies and other needs.

Botshabelo Babies Home is inviting community members and businesses to take part in their fundraiser, a virtual golf event, which will take place the whole of October.

Jessica Smith, director of fundraising operations at the organisation said the event accommodated everyone, young and old.

She added the game was still the same even though it was being played virtually, It retained the same golfing format that a golfer would play with their peers.

“We decided to make the event virtual to try something different compared to what we always do and one of the benefits is that we can include people from other provinces,” she said.

Smith added all proceeds would go to the home to assist with medical expenses, nappies and formula, clothing, and other essential needs for the babies.

“There are prizes to be won, perfumes and colognes, hoodies, beverages like vodka and wine spa vouchers among others. And since we are hosting a golf day every day in October, this means you can play anytime, anywhere.”

Smith said you could enter by doing the following;

  • Register for our Virtual Golf month and send proof of payment to jessica@botshabelo.co.za (R500 per person).
