Midrand batted first and scored 96 but it was not enough as Kempton Park chased down the score comfortably.

Midrand’s player-coach, George Mukoki said the game was disappointing.

He added that they needed to have a core group of players who attended practices because that would help maintain consistency.\

“The more we play as a unit, we will have our players settle down. That is the main issue every time with our Saturday side because most of the players are a bit worried that they have to avail themselves for our Sunday division’s game… they do not want to play on both days.
“However, I feel like we have a good thing going, the minute we get our rhythm going, we will start getting the results in,” Mukoki added.

Coach of the winning team, Floors Mynhardt said, “It was nice to chase down the runs, it was fairly quickly with one wicket down.”

He commended Midrand’s bowling and said the game was played in good spirits.
