Midrand Striders members conquer the Om Die Dam Ultra-Marathon to prepare themselves for the 2023 Comrades Marathon that will take place in June.

Midrand Striders runners won podium positions at the recent Om Die Dam Ultra-Marathon.

The spokesperson of Midrand Striders, Lwazi Khumalo, said it’s the largest inland ultra-marathon in South Africa. It offers a 50km ultra-marathon and an 8km fun run at Hartbeespoort Dam.

The race is celebrated for its scenic route, the high standard of organisation and the timing in the build-up to both the Comrades and Two Oceans Marathons.
