Class of 2024 pleased with matric results at various schools around Midrand

Nine Curro Waterfall learners smash incredible distinctions to the amusement of teachers and parents alike.

It was a day of nerves for Midrand’s matrics who were eager to receive their matric results on January 14 despite the morning drizzle.

At Curro Waterfall, the learners were ecstatic upon receiving their certificates, hugging teachers and peers, while celebrating their hard work.

The top Curro matriculants were Seth Mouton who achieved seven distinctions, Sabreen Kaloo (6), Shanya Niar (5), and Besma Aissani, Michelle Chewu and Ashreya Singh all attained four.

Meanwhile, Glen Austin House’s Precious Maluleka attained a full house of distinctions (7).

At Midland Primary and High School, the Class of 2024 scored a 100% pass rate, mirroring its 2023 results.

Noordwyk Secondary School principal Alex Tau was pleased with the improvement in the school’s matric pass rate from 91% last year to 94.4% this time round.
