CRC Cares Charity Fun Run comes to Midrand
The fun run will be hosted simultaneously in Johannesburg and Bloemfontein, and all raised funds will go to Talitha Cumi Place of Safety.
This Youth Day, South Africans are called to action with purpose, unity, and compassion.
The CRC Cares ‘Run For Me’ Charity Fun Run will take place simultaneously in Johannesburg and Bloemfontein on June 16, raising vital funds for the Talitha Cumi Place of Safety, a home dedicated to caring for children who have been abandoned, abused, or orphaned.
The Johannesburg run will be held at Prime View Adventure and Leisure, located on Southward Drive, Olifantsfontein, while the Bloemfontein race will take place at Inibos, 23 Wim Botha Street, Langenhoven Park. The 10km race starts at 09:00, followed by the 5km race at 09:30.

This fun run promises to create a powerful visual and emotional narrative, making it perfect for Youth Day coverage. Attendees can look forward to family-friendly festivities, music, refreshments, and tangible change.
Hosted in proud partnership with Discovery Vitality, the event is more than just a run; it symbolises a race for the future of a child. Each runner will wear a race number bearing the name of a child from Talitha Cumi, making every stride personal and profoundly meaningful. All proceeds will directly support the home and its expansion efforts.

The future of Talitha Cumi lies in its village project – a long-term residential vision for orphaned and abandoned children up to the age of 21. To date, five homes have been built, with one already furnished and ready for occupancy and two more expected to be registered this year. These homes will provide full-time care, mentorship, and a stable foundation for the next generation.
Tickets for the fun run cost R100 per person, and children under the age of five enter free. Limited edition ‘Run For Me’ t-shirts will also be available. Locals can book their tickets online at https://opentickets.co.za/crc-cares.
