First day of school: Mpumalanga MEC for health visits Kwanang Primary School

As the schools reopened, the MEC for health, Sasekani Manzini, spent her morning with the learners at a school at Marite, Bushbuckridge.

The MEC for health, Sasekani Manzini addressed the learners of Kwanang Primary School in Marite, Bushbuckridge today, January 11.

During her visit she handed over school uniforms, shoes, school bags and sanitary towels.

She said the learners should be vigilant of kidnapping perpetrators when going back home.”Please avoid strangers and do not accept free rides from them.”

Manzini emphasised the importance of education. She encouraged them to work hard and focus on their studies.

“As learners you must research and seek assistance through your teachers on which careers are in demand on the job market to curb the unemployment statistics. Education is the key to success and I am pleading with you all to not just study to get qualifications and apply for jobs. Consider studying courses that will enable you to start a business and create more jobs for others and fight unemployment together.”
