Suspect linked with 14 charges of rape
The suspect is also expected to be in the dock at the Sabie Magistrate’s Court soon for the cases he committed at Sabie.

CALCUTTA – A 26-year-old man arrested in connection with 14 counts of rape appeared before the Mapulaneng Magistrate’s Court last week Thursday.
He was remanded in custody and will appear again in the same court on February 22.
The suspect was nabbed February 9, 2016, at his hideout in Sabie after police acted swiftly on a tip-off regarding his whereabouts.
According to Brig Selvy Mohlala the suspect was first arrested in 2013 after being suspected to be responsible for a rape incident that occurred in Mariti. His case was provisionally withdrawn awaiting DNA test results.
“DNA results positively linked him with the fourteen cases of rape. Six of those cases were committed whilst his previous case was withdrawn. The forensic report further revealed that four of the cases were committed in Sabie. A manhunt for the alleged serial rapist was then launched hence the arrest,” explained Mohlala.
The suspect is also expected to be in the dock at the Sabie Magistrate’s Court soon for the cases he committed at Sabie.
