Mandela Day activities

As the nation will be commemorating Mandela Day on Friday, for the first time after the great man’s departure, various organisations, companies, and individuals will embark on a bid to promote the legacy he left behind.

If you have no plans for the day, here are some of the companies, individuals, and organisations you might want to join in fulfilling the objectives of the day.

Fact Nkomazi Rocks will be donate groceries at Driekoppies to families.

• Bicacon will visit the Vukuzenzele Drop-iIn Centre. They will be distribute food parcels and blankets to the children.

• The Mpumalanga Gambling Board “MGB” staff members will spend their 67 minutes with those who are less privileged in our communities, in honour of our hero utata Nelson Mandela. The event is scheduled as follows:

• Culture, sport and recreation MEC, Ms Norah Mabena-Mahlangu and her staff will heed the call made by president Jacob Zuma to clean Maphotla Library, Msogwaba Stadium, Gert Sibande Cultural Precinct and the Thandanani Old Age Home.
