MASOYI – Two suspects were arrested and charged with diesel theft after they allegedly drained the fuel from buses at the Buscor bus terminal.

According to the local police, a passer-by became suspicious after seeing people sneaking around behind the buses and alerted the local police.

Upon arrival the police found four men with 18 containers of 25 litres each with seven filled to the brim with diesel.

“Two of the suspects fled the scene and the other two were caught. We urge anyone with information that may lead to the other suspects’ arrest to contact Masoyi Police Station,” said Cons Naniki Nonyane.

He also commended the community for joining forces with the police in fighting crime in the area.

“We treat any information from residents seriously and their contribution is highly acknowledged.

We urge them to continue combating crime with us and not take matters into their own hands,” Nonyane concluded.
