Is there something blue about Friday’s blue moon?

When someone says it happens once in a blue moon, it’s a common way of saying that something doesn’t happen very often. You might have heard that a blue moon actually means the second full moon in a calendar month. This phenomenon, which was visible on Friday night, will not occur again for the next three years. The two full moons occurred on July 2 and July 31. Full moons are supposed to occur once every month. The phrase has nothing to do with the actual colour of the moon, it actually means “betrayer”.
