Seven suspects sought for armed robbery and rape
It is alleged that the suspects stormed into a house with five occupants, held them at gunpoint and tied them with wires before ransacking the house.
TONGA -The local police have launched a manhunt for about seven armed men in connection with a house robbery and rape committed in Tonga near Malalane on September 8 around 21:30.
It is alleged that the suspects stormed into a house with five occupants, held them at gunpoint and tied them with wires before ransacking the house.
They stole electronic equipments, jewellery and other valuable items plus the victim’s two vehicles a Mercedes Benz and a Toyota Fortune. “A 20- year-old woman was raped during the process and the victim’s car was found abandoned in the bushes at Steenbok near Tonga, ” explained the police provincial spokesperson Col Leonard Hlathi.
No arrests had been made so far.
