School camp cancelled due to ‘evil spirits’

" According to devil worshippers, this month is called 'Conference Month' where satanists gather and submit their offerings to their aster."

BHUGA – It seems as learners of Jerusalem High are not the only ones who are disturbed by evil spirits.

Recently parents and learners of Sibhulo Senior Secondary School were left in shock after learners, a majority of them in grade 12, started to act very strangely as they were fainting, crying hysterically and screaming. They claimed that they were strangled by evil spirits in classrooms where they held their study camps.

This left the headmaster with no choice but to suspend the study camps last Friday. Some parents fetched their children as they were scared that the evil spirits would strangle them to death.

Speaking to Mpumalanga News, one of parents, Mr Sandile Khoza, who did not hesitate to take his child out in the middle of the night, said, “I was very shocked when I received a call from my child.

My wife and I drove immediately and took him out of the premises with his belongings. We could not believe our eyes as we found children rolling on the floor screaming, some of them fainted. I still don’t understand what was going on.

“I’ve never witnessed something like that. I always heard people talking about evil spirits, now I know this thing is for real,” he said.
A learner who wanted to remain anonymous for fear of victimisation, told this publication that such incidents were not new at the school.

“This thing of being attacked by evil spirits started in 2011. Even last year the matriculants who were camping during their final exams, had the same problem. It’s not something new, but this year it’s getting worse day by day,” she said.

“We tried to pray, but the principal shouted at us and said we were not here to open churches or being pastors. He said we should stop the rubbish and focus on our studies. We need pastors to come and pray at the school, but the principal is refusing, that is why other parents decided to take their children.”

When this reporter visited the school last Friday, she noticed that some of the learners did not want to go home because they said it was noisy and they didn’t get enough time to study. Some of them were left stranded as their parents couldn’t afford to transport their goods after the principal had ordered them to vacate the premises.

The spokesperson for education, Mr Jasper Zwane said,

“We are not aware of this matter, but we are going to send our officials from our district office to investigate.” Meanwhile, Dr Ananias Azafe, who is well known for casting out evil spirits, said such things should not be taken lightly, especially during this time of the year.

“This is a very difficult month because according to devil worshippers, this month is called ‘Conference Month’ where satanists gather and submit their offerings to their master. It would be wise to call pastors to pray at the schools as evil spirits now target learners,” he said.

He added that he had previously been invited to Jerusalem and Bushbuckridge where learners were affected by evil spirits. He said they were complaining about headaches and when the sun set, they died.

“I wouldn’t mind to come and pray for the learners if they want me to come. Something is wrong at the school and it’s disturbing them for the exams,” Azafe concluded.
