Water crisis at Umjindi Local Municipality

"We spent the whole Sunday without water and it’s not easy for us to cope with this situation."

BARBERTON – Community members of this area are still feeling the effects of water crisis due to droughts.
Mpumalanga News learnt that since last week residents in different sections around Umjindi Local Municipality were experiencing water shortage. The affected sections includes Highway View (MaUno) and Phase 2 just to mentioned the few.
“We spent the whole Sunday without water and it’s not easy for us to cope with this situation. It was bad and we did not do laundry over the weekend and this time around the municipality did not provide us with Jojo tankers,”said Ms Alicia Dladla.
Efforts to get comment from municipal’s spokesperson Mr Samuel Jele was fruitless .
