More cases of mob justice reported in Nkomazi

"We called an ambulance and he was certified dead on the scene by the paramedics."

TONGA –A man believed to be in his 40s was allegedly killed by a mob at Block A on Monday. According to the police, the incident happened in the late hours of the day and the victim was certified dead on the scene.

“We rushed to the scene after receiving a call from one of the community members and found the victim lying down with visible injuries all over his body. We called an ambulance and he was certified dead on the scene by the paramedics.

“The body was transported to Tonga state mortuary and no arrests have been made yet,” said Lt Mzwandile Nyambi of Tonga SAPS.

The station commander, Brig Mdaka, has appealed to the community not to take the law in to their own hands.
