Police looking for suspects who burnt down Chief’s house

The occupants in the other house heard a noise of someone trying to force open a bedroom window at around 02:15.

MBOMBELA – Police are looking for information that could lead to the arrest of suspect(s) who burned down a house belonging to a Chief of Mpakeni Tribal Authority at Zwelisha near Pienaar, outside Mbombela.

The occupants in the other house heard a noise of someone trying to force open a bedroom window at around 02:15. When they went to investigate, the person ran away and that is when they realised that the other house was engulfed by flames. The motive behind this incident is not yet known and police investigation is underway.
