Two people killed, 11 injured in a road crash

Eleven seriously injured occupants of the minibus were rushed to Rob Ferreira Hospital.

MBOMBELA- Two people have died this morning after the minibus taxi they were travelling in collided with two trucks on the N4 NEAR Mabalel Hotel.

It’s reported that the minibus taxi was about to turn right on the N4 when a truck travelling on the same direction transporting sugar hit it on the back. The taxi collided with an oncoming truck .Two people from the minibus died on the scene.

Eleven seriously injured occupants of the minibus were rushed to Rob Ferreira Hospital. The truck transporting sugar overturned after hitting the minibus, leaving the driver seriously injured.

The Mec for community safety security and liaison Mec Petrus Ngomane sends condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. He went on and called motorists to be cautious and patient towards other motorists on the road.

The driver of the truck that overturned after hitting the minibus from the back has just been airlifted to the hospital.
