More illegal immigrants arrested in White River

WHITE RIVER – A total number of 42 suspects aged between 19 and 50 years were arrested for various crimes during an operation held last the weekend by the White River police.

According to W/O Gugu Phiri, spokesperson for the local police, 36 suspects were arrested for contravening the immigration act, three for theft, one for armed robbery, possession of suspected stolen property and possession of dagga.

They all appeared before the White River Magistrate Court last Monday.
