Learning comes to a halt following strike action

A group of learners from Lekazi Central High School said they were released fearing that the school would be torched by strikers.

KANYAMAZANE- Learners from different schools in the area are loitering in the street along Chris Hani Drive following a service delivery strike that started this morning.

Others claimed their teachers had not come to school so they did not see the point of hanging around the school premises.
“The educators released us and some of them left. Others could not make it because all entrances coming into Kanyamazane were closed,” said one learner.
