A suspect is expected to appear for two counts of murder at Kabokweni Magistrate’s Court today.

His appearance follows an arrest by members of SAPS in Mbombela, after they were tipped off.

“On April 1, this office reported that the suspect had allegedly shot and killed his wife and her mother at the wife’s parental home at Kabokweni, on March 29 and went into hiding. The alleged murder firearm was handed over to the police by a relative,” said SAPS spokesperson, Col Mtsholi Bhembe.

The suspect had been on the run until his arrest on Tuesday, hence his appearance in court on Wednesday, facing two counts of murder.
