The City of Mbombela is experiencing bulk water supply interruptions at the water treatment works in KaNyamazane.

On Friday Rand Water workers downed tools due to internal problems within the company.

According to the municipal spokesman, Joseph Ngala, the municipality is urgently implementing temporary measures to ensure the resumption of operations and continued water supply to communities.

Ngala further urged the community to use water sparingly and was hopeful that the municipality will normalise the situation before the end of business on Friday.
