The Glenrose Educare Centre has opened its doors for little ones to learn
Registration is now open for children from 18 months to six years in the grade 0 to R classes at the Glenrose Educare Centre.

Are you a parent and concerned about the early childhood development of your child?
The Glenrose Educare Centre is your answer. Situated on stand number 2591 in Section A, Msholozi, the well-built, spacious, fully furnished centre with an up-to-date ablution facility and a play area has now opened its doors for teaching and learning.
The founder of the centre, S’mangele Elizabeth Ngwenya, has 28 years’ experience as a teacher and project manager of Mpumelelo Educare Centre in KaDantjie. She started working at ECD centres in 1992 as a volunteer.

Hard work and determination resulted in her acquiring more skills and enrolling for a number of related courses. She obtained her national diploma in ECD in 2013. With all the experience acquired in the industry, she decided to open her own centre in Msholozi.
“Our centre provides four learning areas, the block area where kids develop creativity in building their own designs, which improves the child’s mentality and strengthens their smaller muscles as they use their hand to build the blocks,” says Ngwenya.
“We also have the art area which promotes the learners’ creativity, as we teach them to hold their own pencils during the lessons. The art area also improves the childrens’ communication and language development skills.
Our fantasy area is where we promote moral values, life skills and numeracy in children, young as they are,” explained Ngwenya.

In the educational concept, children are allowed to play with toys, puzzles, matching cards and construction. They also have the grade R class where they prepare learners for “big” school.
“In grade R, we fine-tune the learners’ counting and writing skills using a variety of objects,” added Ngwenya. Glenrose Educare Centre will also teach your kids toilet etiquette.
