Virtual public hearings on Recognition of Customary Marriages Amendment Bill
The Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Human Settlements, Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Ms. Makhosazane Masilela, invites members of the public and affected and interested stakeholders to make comments or inputs on the Recognition of the Customary Marriages Amendment Bill [B12-2019] during a Virtual Public Hearing.

The Recognition of Customary Marriages Amendment Bill seeks to amend the Recognition of Customary Marriages Act of 1998 so as to further regulate the propriety consequences of customary marriages entered into before the commencement of the said Act, and to provide for matters connected there with.
The Virtual Public Hearing is schedules to take place as follows:
