King Bae started his music career back in 2013. He drew inspiration from a number of South African rap and hip-hop artists, including the likes of Kwesta, Pro, Teargas and HHP. “These guys inspire me to be the best I can possibly be, regardless of the challenges in this industry,” he said. Nkosi released his first two songs in 2017; “Face” and “Unembeza”.

The following year, he released a single titled “Khanda”, featuring another undisputed talented singer-songwriter and producer, Jay Spitter.
Then, in 2019, he realised a hit song titled “Emathandweni”. This year he also worked with Spitter on “Intombi Yami” and “Ejozi”, which had been played on a number of radio stations.
Nkosi is currently working to further hone his craft while building his legacy. “I am building my own studio which will help other artists,” he said.
