Public invited to join Virtual Parliament for People with Disabilities

In intensifying public participation and involvement in the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature’s processes during the Covid-19 pandemic, Speaker Busisiwe Shiba is inviting members of the public to be part of the virtual Parliament for People with Disabilities.

It is scheduled to take place on Friday November 27 at 10:00 on the Mpumalanga legislature’s online platforms, Facebook and YouTube.

The areas for discussion by relevant panellists are as follows:

• Economic emancipation and sustainable livelihoods for people with disabilities • Creating enabling avenues for accessibility to business opportunities • The impact of Covid-19 on people with disabilities • Intensifying the creation of employment opportunities. The Parliament for People with Disabilities will be held under the theme “Persons with disabilities -equal participation in shaping a sustainable future.”
