More speedsters brought to book
A 21-year-old man was caught driving at 176km/h on a 120km/h zone on the N3 toll road between Villiers and Heidelberg.
An increasing number of speedsters was arrested for breaking the rules of the road in Mpumalanga. Yesterday, provincial traffic officers arrested three motorists for excessive speeding.

“At about 10:00, a 21-year-old man was caught driving at 176km/h on a 120km/h zone on the N3 toll road between Villiers and Heidelberg.
The motorist was driving a VW sedan.
“In another incident, a 30-year-old man was nab at about 12:40 for driving 164km/h in a 120km/h zone on the same route. He was driving a BMW sedan.
“A 36-year- old man was also arrested for driving 169km/h on a 120km/h zone on the N3 toll road between Heidelberg and Villiers. He was driving a Mercedes-Benz,” explained Mmoeti Mmusi, spokesperson for community safety, security and liaison.
“All the cases were registered with Grootvlei SAPS and the suspects will appear in court shortly,” concluded Mmusi.
