Three people killed in a collision on R538
A head-on collision on the R538 between a VW Polo and Mazda Sting outside White River towards the Mshadza Trust claimed the lives of three people around 02:00 today.
According to Moeti Mmusi of the Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison, three people died on the scene.
The victims are all males aged between 25 and 35. The VW was travelling from the direction of the Mshadza Trust, while the Mazda was missingthe VW and another passenger of the Mazda. Preliminary investigations suggest that fatigue may have led to the collision.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated. The MEC for community safety, security and liaison, Vusi Shongwe, has called on motorists to obey the rules and avoid driving when tired. He sent his condolences to look
