Dr TH Baloyi honoured by the congregation

The day was marked with testimonies of the Lord's doings performed by Baloyi in his 49 years of preaching the gospel.

Pastors from different parts of the country and the congregants of the Fountain of Life Church Movement honoured their leader and founder of the church, Dr Thomas Huweni Baloyi, popularly known as Dr TH Baloyi.

“Honour does not come and fall to anybody, but comes to someone who has done something outstanding, visible and tangible, because it resonates with the thinking of people about the works of that particular person.

“Dr TH is all of that; he is a school on his own and we learned so much from him as the leader of the church and the father of many,” said Calvin Phiri, a church member. Phiri has been in the same church under the same pastor for more than 30 years.

Speaker after speaker described Baloyi as an honest, humble giver, a great counsellor, a fighter, a strong believer in the principles of Christianity and a true believer of God’s absolute power.
Some speakers also indicated that most believers in the country were failing to appreciate and acknowledge pastors from the country.

Mbombela-based preacher Pr Abraham Maloka suggested that the government should consider people of great value like Baloyi by naming streets and places after them.
“Dr TH Baloyi’s name deserves to go in the history books. The name of these streets between White River and Hazyview must be called Dr TH Baloyi Streets. Let engage the councillors and politicians on this,” he said.

The joyful day also marked Baloyi’s 74th birthday celebration and 45-year anniversary.
Members of Masibuyele KuJehova Gospel Group from KaNyamazane also graced the occasion. Businessmen, pastors and church members made monetary pledges for building a state-of-the-art place of worship for Fountain of Life Church Movement in the area.
