More suspects arrested and looted goods recovered in Matsulu
The KaBokweni Magistrate’s Court released 29 of the suspects on bail ranging between R1 500 and R10 000.

The number of people arrested in connection with looting, public violence, possession of suspected stolen property has increased to more than 80. Initially, 50 people were arrested after a number of shops were looted in area.

More than 33 other suspects were arrested later and more stolen items were recovered at various locations. T
his follows an announcement made by the police for people to either leave the stolen items at public places and streets or for anonymous callers to give police tip offs on where to find the looted items.
“Some items were lefts on the streets and police were made aware of this by the members of the public

“Some were found in certain houses and the house owners were arrested. These included two programmed television sets belonging to KFC which were found in certain houses in the area,” said Col Bhushi Ndlovu station commander of Matsulu police.
