TS Galaxy hard at work to avoid relegation

Mpumalanga’s lone football club campaigning in the DStv Premiership, TS Galaxy, are already hard at work preparing for the second round of Premiership games.

The league went on break just before Christmas and will only resume in February.

Galaxy will play their first game of the new year on Wednesday February 16 against AmaZulu FC at Mbombela Stadium.

The Rockets are currently languishing at the bottom of the log with 13 points after 17 games. They are in danger of being relegated if the status quo stays the same by May.

The home team’s head coach, Sead Ramovic, believes there is some light at the end of the tunnel.

“The club have improved their tactical ability. The focus is on the development of players in such aspects as endurance, speed and physical conditioning. We also have to develop a winning attitude, play better defensively and be more clinical up front. It is all about being better than we were yesterday,” he said.

“We have signed some good quality players, but the ones who will feature are the ones who are in good shape. They have to be good at passing and receiving the ball. The key is to show up, work hard and follow the instructions.”

The Rockets have been busy in the current transfer window market. The club reinforced their squad with the services of Shane Roberts, who is on loan from Cape Town City, Vuyo Mere and Lifa Hlongwane.

They also parted ways with the likes of Luckyboy Mokoena, Xolani Slawula and Karabo Tshephe. “If we can do that, we will be on our way up to being the champions.

Always believe in yourself and strive to be the best you can be. We will be ready to give all our opponents the tough times,” Ramovic said.
