Former MEC’s case postponed to March by Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court

Msibi is alleged to have been involved in a shooting in Mbombela, in which two people were fatally shot and a third person wounded.

The case against former Mpumalanga agriculture, rural development and environmental affairs MEC, Mandla Msibi, and his co-accused has been postponed to March 1 for finalisation of indictment and transfer to the high court.

Msibi and his co-accused, Anele Mnisi, Joseph Charlie Ngwenya, Tsepo Eddie Matsane, Njabulo Mkhonto and Sibusiso Vincent Mdhluli, appeared in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court on Thursday February 24, facing charges of two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.

They were allegedly involved in the shooting of Dingane Ngwenya, Sipho Lubisi and Sfiso Mpila outside Coyotes Shisa Nyama in Mbombela on August 22, 2021.
