MM Givers Foundation gives back
The organisation have managed to have menstrual awareness campaigns, have donated sanitary towels to girls at five primary schools, and have had school uniform and shoes campaigns at two primary schools and one high school.
The MM Givers Foundation is a non-profit organisation in Ackerville that advocates giving back and helping the community of eMalahleni to be a better city.
The foundation was established in 2019 by Nokuthula Mnisi who is passionate about uplifting her community.
“I started this NPO because I love giving and sharing,” said Mnisi.

She currently runs the organisation with four members.
“We also did a clothing drive in January. We collected clothes from community members and many people, young and old,
came to support us,” Mnisi said.
She explained that her love of giving back is not new.
“I didn’t struggle when growing up in terms of needs, but I remember I used to share my lunch pack and stationery with other children when I was in primary school. So really, giving has always been in me,” she added.

Her biggest dream for the foundation is to have a drop-in centre, where they will also be able to cook and feed disadvantaged schoolchildren.
“Most pupils only get food from feeding schemes at their schools once a day, so having a centre would mean that the children will be fed more than once a day,” she said.
She added that the drop-in centre would be a place where the youth suffering from drugs and substance abuse can seek help.
“We also want to help the youth of eMalahleni to fight against drugs and substance abuse and moreover, to have social workers and counselling available at the centre for the community.”
She said their priority remains putting God’s love into action and to give with whatever little that they have. ” I know God will make a way,” Mnisi concluded.
