Nurses celebrated at Rob Ferreira Hospital

The annual provincial celebration was held on May 12 that the nurses from various facilities attended.

Rob Ferreira Hospital hosted an International Nurses Day on Tuesday May 31.
The event was held at the hospital resource centre and was led by the hospital’s CEO, Fridah Nyathi. International Nurses Day is celebrated annually on May 12.

The theme for 2022 is, Nurses: A voice to lead – Invest in nursing and respect rights to secure global health, focusing on the need to protect, support and invest in the nursing profession to strengthen health systems around the world.

The Department of Health’s spokesperson, Dumisani Malamule, said the second event was held to accommodate the nurses who could not attend the provincial function at Church Unlimited Nelspruit a few weeks ago.

These events are held as a way to keep nurses motivated.
