Mpumalanga health department takes comprehensive services to the people

The public will be able to access the healthcare services they need during this programme without visiting a hospital.

The national and provincial Department of Health has partnered with Right to Care and Unicef for an initiative that will take fully-fledged healthcare services to the community.

The first event for this week was held on Monday July 11 at Simile Park in Sabie. On Tuesday July 12, they visited Graskop SPAR, on Wednesday, they went to the Sabie taxi rank, on Thursday, they will visit Barberton’s Stimela Mall, and on Friday, they go to the Umjindini Stadium in Barberton.

Ishmael Mthungwa, a primary healthcare manager in charge of welcoming all stakeholders, presented a talk about the purpose of the day.

“The aim is to ensure that underprivileged sections of the society continue to access fully packaged healthcare services amid Covid-19 and beyond.”

The department said the services are available for everyone who needs it.
“We want to urge the community to come in their numbers to receive services brought to them by our health partners working with the Department of Health. We will be visiting each of these areas until late.”
