Mbombela Social Market all set for upcoming instalment

The next Mbombela Social Market will be held on July 30.

The Mbombela Social Market is hosted at the Lowveld National Botanical Gardens and attracts many young entrepreneurs and socialites.

Founder of the Mbombela Social Market Mmabakwena Nxumalo said the market has been a great success since its establishment in 2020.
“The main objective of the market is to promote social cohesion, developing and expose local SMMEs and promote local creatives,” Nxumalo said.

She added that the market also promotes tourism and facilitates community participation in diverse experiences. “We also wanted to provide a safe outdoor environment in which families and friends can enjoy beautiful scenery and performances by local musicians, and to give locals the experience that some travel far for,” she said.

 

“The province’s tourism destinations are marketed by attracting socialites to attend the event and volunteers and temporal staff are hired for the duration of the social market,” she said.

Live music, food stalls, all kinds of drinks and beverages as well as clothing and jewellery stalls will displayed.

Tickets are available on online ticket outlets at R80 for adults and R30 for children. Tickets will be available at the gate on the day at R100 for adults and R50 for children.
