Warning: Possible protests along major Buscor routes in the Lowveld

Lowveld security companies are monitoring the situation carefully.

It has been reported that taxi associations from the Ehlanzeni region are planning a protest against Buscor by blocking its major routes tomorrow, September 28.

The protest is allegedly against Buscor operations.

Hi-Tech Nelspruit, Lowveld Safety Forum and John Meintjies of the Nelspruit Community Policing Forum sent out messages cautioning the public of the protest today, September 27.

They said they had received information that three, if not more, taxi associations are planning to block all the major Buscor routes from tomorrow at 03:00.

Hi-Tech’s Frank Swanepoel said the Lowveld Security Joint Operations Command will be formed as soon as confirmation of the protests has been received.

Further reports from members of the public in the Masoyi area of the Ehlanzeni region indicate a strong police presence.
