Help police unite 19-year-old with his family

 The teen went missing in Wakkerstroom on December 29.

The SAPS in Wakkerstroom have appealed to the community to help them to locate Tevin Wanya Frederick Filand (19) who was last seen by his father on Thursday December 29, 2022.

According to a statement by the SAPS provincial commissioner in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Manamela, the teen’s father left for work at around 16:00 and when he returned home the next day at around 18:00, his son was not at home.

A fruitless search ensued before the father decided to report the matter to the Wakkerstroom Police Station.

The SAPS is calling on members of the public who may have information to contact Detective Warrant Officer Johan Maritz on 082 579 0493 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111. Alternatively, information can be sent via the My SAPS app.

All received information will be treated as confidential, and callers may opt to remain anonymous.
